Fast firmware update

Updating Core:
  • Download the .bin firmware file from the version list below
  • Copy the file core.bin to the root of a USB flash drive formatted in FAT32 (do not place it inside a folder and do not rename it).
  • Power off Core, then plug the USB flash drive into the USB HOST port
  • Hold the encoder button down and power Core on: the screen shows WAITING FOR USB FLASH DRIVE
  • Release the encoder. Flashing starts automatically and takes about 10 seconds
  • When UPDATE DONE is displayed, Core reboots on the new firmware by itself
  • Unplug the USB flash drive

Download CoreOS 1.0

Recommendations:
  • The file must be named exactly core.bin and sit at the root of the drive, not inside a folder
  • The USB flash drive must be formatted in FAT32 (exFAT is not supported)
  • Do not disconnect power or the USB flash drive during the update process
