GENERAL SETTINGS Access device-wide configuration options like clock source, screensaver or MIDI output routing.
LOAD Load a stored preset with a live preview before applying it.
SAVE Save changes by overwriting the current preset number.
SAVE AS Save the current configuration to a different preset number.
Each preset contains :
Per–track input routing
Per–track output Engines and associated parameters
Output mapping list for both xp32 slots
Custom scale
BPM and swing settings
Note In a dual–xp32 setup, each preset stores the configuration of both xp32 units.
General settings
• SelectGENERAL SETTINGS from the Preset menu to access the device–wide settings. • Rotate encoder to select, then Press it to edit and confirm.
These settings are global, meaning they are not stored with presets. They are only saved when you SelectSAVE at the bottom of the list.
CLOCK INTERNAL TRS DEVICE HOST When set to INTERNAL , Core runs from its own clock, and the BPM can be adjusted in the tempo page. Otherwise, Core follows the 24 PPQN MIDI clock and transport messages received on the selected input port.
HOME Determines the style of the screensaver that appears after a period of inactivity. OFF The screensaver never activates. BLACK The screen goes fully dark for maximum power saving and burn–in protection. PRESET Displays a detailed overview of the active preset's inputs/output routing. FLOW Displays an animated routing diagram with live output voltage levels (default). This visualisation is reachable at any time by pressing both outputs + params .
Note Press any button or Rotate encoder to wake Core up.
INACTIVITY OFF 10s 20s ... 600s Sets the idle time before the screensaver appears.
TRS OUT Sets the behavior of the MIDI OUT port. OFF The port output is disabled. SYNC The port sends clock and transport. TRS IN DEVICE IN HOST IN The port is forwarding the events (MIDI Thru) coming from the selected input.
DEV OUT Sets the behavior of the USB DEVICE output. OFF The port output is disabled. SYNC The port sends clock and transport. TRS IN HOST IN The port is forwarding the events (MIDI Thru) coming from the selected input.
HOST OUT Sets the behavior of the USB HOST output. OFF The port output is disabled. SYNC The port sends clock and transport. TRS IN DEVICE IN The port is forwarding the events (MIDI Thru) coming from the selected input.
PC INPUT OFF TRS 01–16 DEVICE 01–16 HOST 01–16 Defines the input port and channel used to receive preset recalls via MIDI Program Change messages. PC1–PC8 recall presets 1–8 respectively.
ENC PRESS ENGINES PARAMS Sets the encoder's primary action in Outputs mode. Engines: press the encoder to select an Engine; hold it to edit the Engine Parameters. Params: press the encoder to edit the Engine Parameters; hold it to select an Engine.
SAVE Stores all general settings to internal memory. General settings are not saved automatically and must be stored using this item to persist across reboots.
Loading a preset
• SelectLOAD from the Preset menu, then Rotate encoder to browse the preset numbers. • Press encoder to load the selected Preset.
Core displays a live preview of the selected preset as a routing grid, allowing the configuration to be auditioned before it is loaded.
The preview shows the state of all eight outputs on the xp32 containing the currently selected track. Select the other xp32 slot to view its outputs.
Note In a dual–xp32 setup, the configurations of SLOT A and SLOT B are saved and loaded together. Presets are always loaded into both xp32 units, regardless of which track is currently selected.
Saving a preset
Two save options are available from the Preset menu.
SAVE Overwrites the active preset with the current configuration.
SAVE AS Saves the current configuration to a different preset slot.
• Rotate encoder to select the destination preset, then Press to save.
Both options require confirmation: YES saves the preset, while NO cancels the operation.
Note Saving always stores the configurations of both xp32 slots in the selected preset, keeping SLOT A and SLOT B synchronized within the same preset.
